Skin Universe Limited — Video Consultation Terms & Conditions

1. Service & Fee

1.1 The video skin‑consultation is booked in advance and costs £50.

1.2 Upon successful completion of the Consultation, the £50 fee will be refunded to you in the form of a voucher usable toward products on our website, provided your purchase is of equal or greater value than £50.

1.3 The voucher is non-transferable, non-cash redeemable, and subject to standard site voucher / credit terms.

2. Booking, Cancellation & Rescheduling

2.1 You must book the Consultation via our booking system.

2.2 If you need to cancel or reschedule, you must notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations may result in loss of the fee or voucher.

2.3 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a Consultation (for example, in the event of technical issues). In such an event, we will offer you an alternate slot or refund the fee/voucher.

3. Technical Requirements & Environment

3.1 You must ensure that at the time of the Consultation:

• you have a stable internet connection,
• your camera and microphone function properly, and
• you are in a well-lit environment so we can clearly see your skin.

3.2 We are not liable for poor visibility, video lag, low light conditions, or image distortions due to your hardware or environment.

3.3 We do not accept liability for any misinterpretation, misdiagnosis or suboptimal outcomes due to technical limitations or image quality.

4. Limitations of Advice / Scope

4.1 The Consultation is based solely on what is visible and on the information you provide.

4.2 We are not conducting an in-person skin examination. Some skin issues may not be visible or detectable over video.

4.3 Our recommendations are non-binding suggestions only. You are free to choose whether to follow them.

4.4 While we aim to offer professional, evidence-based advice, everyone’s skin is unique and responses vary. We cannot guarantee specific results.

4.5 We are not liable for any adverse reactions, side-effects, or dissatisfaction resulting from you using the recommended products.

5. Voucher / Product Use Terms

5.1 The voucher issued will only apply to existing products on our website.

5.2 You must use the voucher within 6 months from the date of issue

5.3 If your final order exceeds £50, you pay the excess.

5.4 If you choose not to purchase a product or you make a purchase of less than £50, the voucher will be void.

5.5 Standard product returns, exchanges, refunds policy applies.

5.6 We do not permit the use of multiple vouchers or stacking with certain other offers.

6. Liability & Disclaimers

6.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising out of or in connection with the Consultation or recommendations is limited to the amount you paid or the cost of the voucher.

6.2 We exclude liability for:

• indirect or consequential losses,
• loss of profit,
• damage arising from third-party actions,
• errors or omissions caused by your incomplete or incorrect information,
• adverse effects from products used in unintended ways.

6.3 Nothing in these terms shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

7. Your Representations & Warnings

7.1 You represent that:

• you are over 18 years of age ,
• you disclose all known skin conditions, allergies, medications, pregnancy, or sensitivities.

7.2 You agree that prior to using any product from our recommendations, you will patch-test in a small area, especially if you are sensitive or prone to reactions.

7.3 You should discontinue use immediately if you experience irritation or discomfort and seek medical advice if needed.

7.4 Our services and recommendations are for cosmetic / skincare purposes only; they are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment or consultation with a healthcare professional.

8. Intellectual Property & Confidentiality

8.1 The content of the Consultation is for your personal use only. You may not reproduce, publish or commercialize any part of it without our permission.

8.2 We may keep records for quality, training or legal purposes.

8.3 You agree not to record the Consultation without prior written consent from us.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

9.1 These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.

9.2 Any dispute arising will be resolved via the courts of that jurisdiction.

9.3 If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions still stand.

10. Changes to These Terms

10.1 We reserve the right to update these terms from time to time; the version published on our website will apply.

10.2 You will be notified of material changes prior to your booking.
